About 52.1 percent of the 96 degrees and certificates handed out by the Oregon Coast Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Newport conferred 36 certificates and 14 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 34 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 18 certificates in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training and 17 certificates in Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing, Other.
The college enrolled 416 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
