About 56.3 percent of the 419 degrees and certificates handed out by the Blue Mountain Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Pendleton conferred 236 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 170 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 66 associate's degrees in General Studies and 18 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The college enrolled 1,660 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
