About 57 percent of the 256 degrees and certificates handed out by the Columbia Gorge Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Dalles conferred 146 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.
But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 95 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 51 associate's degrees in General Studies and 22 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
The college enrolled 902 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
