About 22 percent of the 1,213 degrees and certificates handed out by the Southern Oregon University in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Ashland conferred 153 bachelor's degrees and 80 certificates in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Data shows the school gave out 149 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by 90 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General and 88 master's degrees in Teacher Education and Professional Development, Specific Levels and Methods, Other.

The university enrolled 6,243 students for 2016-17, including 5,607 in undergraduate programs and 636 in graduate programs.
