About 28.4 percent of the 190 degrees and certificates handed out by the Clatsop Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Astoria conferred 40 certificates and 14 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in General Studies. Data shows the school gave out 49 associate's degrees in General Studies, followed by 34 certificates in Welding Technology/Welder and 24 certificates in Medical/Clinical Assistant.
The college enrolled 900 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
