About 51.4 percent of the 218 degrees and certificates handed out by the Multnomah University in 2016-17 were to students in Theology and Religious Vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Portland conferred 69 bachelor's degrees and 35 master's degrees in Theology and Religious Vocations programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Bible/Biblical Studies. Data shows the school gave out 36 bachelor's degrees in Bible/Biblical Studies, followed by 26 master's degrees in Counseling Psychology and 20 master's degrees in International/Global Studies.
The university enrolled 713 students for 2016-17, including 416 in undergraduate programs and 297 in graduate programs.
