Graduates earn 6,990 degrees, certificates from Portland State University


About 18.2 percent of the 6,990 degrees and certificates handed out by Portland State University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Portland conferred 946 bachelor's degrees and 203 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in "other" teacher education and professional development, specific levels and methods. Data shows the school gave out 312 certificates in "other" teacher education and professional development, specific levels and methods, followed by 306 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 249 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies.

The university enrolled 26,693 students for 2017-18, including 21,167 in undergraduate programs and 5,526 in graduate programs.
