Graduates earn 181 degrees, certificates from Multnomah University


About 59.1 percent of the 181 degrees and certificates handed out by Multnomah University in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Portland conferred 61 bachelor's degrees and 40 master's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in bible/biblical studies. Data shows the school gave out 38 bachelor's degrees in bible/biblical studies, followed by 20 master's degrees in divinity/ministry and 13 master's degrees in "other" theology and religious vocations.

The university enrolled 654 students for 2017-18, including 394 in undergraduate programs and 260 in graduate programs.
