The Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee is seeking nominations for the 37th annual Charles L. Whistler Award. This is the Mayor’s highest award for civic leadership recognizing those dedicated to progress in Indianapolis through public-private partnerships and beyond. Anyone may nominate.

Award Winners are known for their:

  • Visionary leadership connecting private and public organizations for civic improvement in Indianapolis
  • Dedicated service outside of their own careers
  • Outstanding volunteerism within the Indianapolis community
Award recipients are recognized at a breakfast ceremony in the fourth quarter each year and by the subsequent addition of their names to a monument located in the Charles L. Whistler Memorial Plaza at the Indianapolis City Market. Nominations may be submitted via online form by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9th. Additional letters of support may be emailed to info@indygipc.org.
