Thoma Bravo has announced a leadership transition at Imprivata, with the current CEO, Gus Malezis, moving to a new role as a strategic advisor to the company. Fran Rosch has been appointed as the new CEO.

Rosch's tenure will commence on Jan. 1, 2024. He has led technology companies through growth and Software as a Service (SaaS) transformations. According to a press release by Thoma Bravo, Rosch played an instrumental role in ForgeRock's successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) and its merger into Ping under Thoma Bravo's umbrella. He has also made significant contributions to cybersecurity firms Symantec and Verisign.

"I’m thrilled and honored to join such a growth-minded company as Imprivata and take the reins from Gus. Imprivata is committed to its customers, helping them leverage Digital Identity to bring security and ease of use to industries that depend on invisible, quick security," said Rosch in the press release by Thoma Bravo. "I love the identity space and look forward to leading Imprivata through the next stage of growth."

Andrew Almeida, Partner at Thoma Bravo, expressed his gratitude towards Malezis for his contribution as CEO and welcomed Rosch in his new role. "On behalf of the Board, I wish to congratulate Gus on this new opportunity and would also like to extend our sincerest gratitude for the value creation he has driven as CEO," said Almeida in the press release by Thoma Bravo. "His leadership at Imprivata has been a critical force in the company’s success over the last 6+ years and his strategic vision is one of the main reasons customers continue to rely on Imprivata’s solutions."

Imprivata's mission focuses on simplifying secure access for both individuals and crucial organizations by strategically leveraging digital identity. With a customer-centric approach spanning over two decades, the company has partnered with major players in healthcare and enterprise sectors, delivering identity management solutions, according to the Overview webpage provided by Imprivata.
